If you’ve gone to see a presidential candidate speak and emailed your question to the campaign website because there wasn’t time for them to take your question… did you ever actually get an answer to your question?
I emailed a candidate’s webpage with my question, and all I got back was an email from a girl living in my general area, who was working on the campaign, and she only was emailing me to ask if I’d volunteer. My question is not answered, nor is it acknowledged that I even asked a question in the first place.
If that happened to you, would that make you feel LESS likely to vote for the candidate?

I’ve gotten a response from Mitt Romney one time after talking to him.
I was sure to take a picture:

I am sorry to hear you had such a negative experience. I havent tried to communicate with them. The only experience I have had with this sort of thing is I tried to e-mail Ford motor company with some thoughts about things like them closing down factories here in the USA and opening some in other countries and asking them if they would make an electric car they would sweep the market. No one replies and you get a message that they only take ideas internally.

I emailed Hillary Clinton. All I got back in response is “please send a donation”

That is so true. I tried emailing Clinton once asking about her views and I got back something very similar. They were asking for some sort of donation/contribution for running or some crap like that. They never answered my question, it was if they were saying to me….send money and we might answer you. . I don’t think she cares so therefor I wont vote for her. As a matter of fact I will try to get as many people as I can to NOT VOTE FOR HER.

Yes, I nearly always get an email recognizing receipt of my email. Some of this is canned. They can’t possibly answer each and every email or letter. They have staff that takes care of that. They read and feed ideas and attitudes to the representative.

I got an e-mail back from Barack Obama himself. The question was about my son who is a Paralyzed American Veteran and stem cell research. I even got a letter from him. He never asked me for any money and he sent my son a T-shirt.

Worse than that I got put on a mailing list and started receiving unsolicited newsletters and requests for money, no response from the candidate. If anyone ever paid attention to anything I said they’d know I have lots of time but no money. Go figure.
