How do I get my yahoo email on my Windows Vista computer without going to the yahoo homepage?



I have a Windows Live Messenger Account, it said that I could go on my email without having to go to the webpage of yahoo. When I click on the Email button of the start screen, it says i cannot get on to my email. How can I slove this/
